At the center of Trafalgar Square in London stood Nelson’s Column, erected to commemorate Admiral Horatio Nelson, who died at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. To mark the 220th anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar, the Evergreen Maritime Museum is exhibiting “The Battle of Trafalgar, 21 October 1805” by British marine painter George Chambers. The warship in the painting is the famous Victory, commanded by Nelson.
